Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the pavilion of Bosnia and Herzegovina at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The host of this visit at BiH pavilion was Adnan Delić, the Minister of Economy.
“It is a huge honor that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and one of the most important persons in the UAE government decided to visit the pavilion of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”, said Minister Delić. He added that they exchanged ideas for improving economic and political relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Arab Emirates and that opening the UAE’s embassy in BiH would further improve relations between the two countries, but also attract direct investments from the UAE to BiH.
Minister Al Nahyan was particularly impressed by Bosnia and Herzegovina’s cultural heritage, natural beauties and numerous investment opportunities, which Minister Delić further emphasized during Minister Al Nahyan’s visit to the BiH pavilion.
Minister Abdulah bin Zayed Al Nahyan is a member of the UAE’s National Security Council, Deputy Chairman of the UAE’s Permanent Committee on Borders, the Chairman of the National Media Council, Chairman of the Board of the Directors of the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), and the Board Member of the National Defense College. He was also appointed as Minister of Information and Culture from 1997 until 2006, the Chairman of Emirates Media Incorporated, the Chairman of the UAE Football Association, and the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Culture from 1995 to 1997. He is the son of the founder of the United Arab Emirates, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and one of the most influential persons in this country.
